Actually I have been thinking of developing an iphone app for the last 6 months to 1 year but never had a chance to buy a Mac. Since the availability of different cross platforms that enable to develope iphone app on windows, I am convinced to develope in C/C++ using the cross platform software.

Due to daily work load, the actual process may take a bit longer than what it should be. Moreover I have not yet decided what app to develope, but I am sure the first app would be a free to download one.

The list of task ahead are;

• Deciding what cross platform to choose
• What App to develope
• Coding & Designing Required Graphics
• Trying out in my iphones
• Registering an account at Iphone App store
• Submit

As long as the search engines strive to accurate, relevant information to the users’ search queries the SEO will exist. Google instant might change the way SEO is today, but SEO still exist. As long as there is e-commerce and as long as the top search engines work on providing relevant information SEO will exist.

Features like Google instant and other new things would only make things harder for the spammers and the SEO’s who rely on bad SEO techniques.

Well, it’s simple and almost free of cost if you could design an 57×57 px size icon yourself. Without wasting anymore time lets jump to see the process;

Create a 57×57 pixel PNG format image for your website.  Name the file apple-touch-icon.png

Drop this apple-touch-icon.png file in the root directory of your website, see if you can view the uploaded image by visiting http://www.yourdomain.com/apple-touch-icon.png (replace yourdomain with your site name)

Open your website in iphone’s safari browser

 then click on “+” sign

Click on the "+" sign

this will give you set of options from which you select “Add to Home Screen”

Now you will be prompted to enter a name for the icon, you can enter a new name or leave it to the default name you see on the screen and hit “Save” button on top right of the screen.

That’s it, you will see your designed 57×57 pixled image on the iphone screen along with other iphone app icons that you have downloaded.

On 4th March 2010, Telnic has updated it’s Tel proxy and the CTH hosting. There are a number of new and fantastic features that will help you customize your .tel site.

• Ability to change the background using selection of templates
• Ability to have different graphics
• Ability to enable Search Functionality
• Ability to use custom icons for online services
• Ability to embed Google Adsense Ads

However Telnic should consider

• Replacing the full display of the URL with the use of Anchor text in place
• Ability to enable or disable of “Learn More” link on the new .Tel layout (Disabled by Default)
• Ability to enable or disable the “Manage Link” on the New .Tel Layout

Apart from the recent Telhosting update, DotTel domains are facing hosting issues like long delays in update propogation, errors in the Telhosting panel. Hopefully Telnic is in a position to resolve these new issues sooner.
