Digg.com – short of stories or spam? 1

Aug10

Since the removal of the feature/options like
- Share – Stories
- Profile comments

There has been drop in the submissions (at least to my observation). Earlier when I used to check upcoming section -> recommended stories, I used to see at least 17 to 23 pages with all the recommended stories. But since the update, I have seen only 5 pages of recommended stories and sometimes not even a single recommended story. The reason for this is quite visible and its because of the drop in submissions by Digg.com members.

This is because the chances of getting the story to front page is dropped and looks like everyone are concerned about loosing their digg power if majority of the submissions do not get to front page or may be worried of loosing their existing popularity ratio.

Today as I was browsing the recommended section, I was shocked to see 2 days old story being recommended by Digg which I believe could be in front page as it already had more than 1000 diggs (votes).

For any reason, it’s clear that Digg.com is short of stories or spam.

Propeller.com did remove the share feature for sometime but the feature is back. I guess digg.com will do the samething if submissions rate falls.

but we never know if they want to kill them self by being over strict rules
